There are a few students who, even with their best efforts to attend additional workshop times, will need to make up more hours than are possible. So I am going to start posting some additional exercises that you can do to make up hours outside of the workshops.
The first one is as follows:
- Watch this video on 21st-century learning
- Write a one-paragraph response to the video and post it here as a comment
This will count as one hour of attendance credit.

A lot has changed since the 1880′s. Back then they had a lot of immigrants that came to the country and we were running out of room. the schools had to make room so they would divide the grades up in one classroom . in my opinion i think that would make education a little harder for the kids.education now is a lot better because they changed how education was back then. like that people now in the new era who are graduating could deal with their future better.
Part 1 of the 21 century learning video makes a lot of sense because I have always believed the same thing, with that type of concept, “out with the old, in with the new”. With the new era we have to find new ways to teach and prepare students for the real world.
Part 1 of the video briefly discusses how much education has changed since the 1800′s. The new era of technology now days has made education today a lot more better and effective with students students around the world.
education was very different back in the 1800′s. i agree with a few ways they used. what they taught was way advanced and intense and it made you way smart think about it all our super elders are really smart and thats because of the ciriculum and i agree with that but the, all in one roof thing that would suck and not work at all because a bunch of boys and girls of all diffrent ages under one roof just spells like trouble and so i think that it would just be way to hard to learn in that type of inviorment.i think if we as student now were taught so theroly like they were back in the 1800′s and with all new technologly , advancements that we have now that we would be super super smart where all the schools have pretty much the same test scores
education was very diffrent back in the 1800′s. i agree with a few of there learning stratagies and some i dont. i agree with how they taught by making you learn you were forced to memorize so many impoartant facts that i wouldnt even be able to remember or know and that was all early on in school that you had to learn it by. what i dont agree with is the all in one roof method because , a bunch of boys and girls of all diffrent ages just spells trouble and it would just not be a good atmosphere to learn in at all. i belive that if we today as students were to be taught so intensivly with all the new advancements and technologly that we would be super super smart and the schools would pretty much have the same test scores.

There are a lot of changes about education since 1880s. So students now are different than their parents generation. In the new era, school divided up into grades depend on student’s ages and level. This change brings convenience not only for students but also for teacher about the way of teaching and learning. Additionally, students today can move into IT Age which is successful in workplace and market. In short, we found the new ways of teaching which help students today cope with life in the era.
In the video 21st century it explains how education and technology has changed so much since the 1800′s. It really depends where your from but in some places at that time only let certain people attend school. And now through time technology has helped our educational system to help people all over the world go to school. So the out come is going to be that the current day technology will grow and help the make future school educational system to grow and help the adults of tomorrow .
